Each league match is scheduled to start at 8:30pm so please make sure you are present at your match venue by around 8:20pm.
TAPS are now inviting new members to join us for our Luton League for next season which starts in June 2010. If you are interested in joining the league then why not visit us during one of our AGMs which are held at the Black Horse Public House in Hastings Street, Luton at 8.30pm on the last Wednesday of every month?

Luton News - Due to the closure of the Robin Hood Public House; their team will now be playing their home matches at the Gardeners Call Public House for the remainder of the season. In the interim the team will retain the Robin Hood name.
Following a recent incident involving a match in the TAPS Premier League, the Committee would like to remind all teams of rule 4c in the General Rules Manual:
In League matches the home team will fill out their team line-up on the score card first. The score card will then be passed to the away team to allow them to fill out their line-up. At each point the score card is passed on, THE TEAM LINE-UP MUST BE COMPLETE. If the score card is passed on with blank legs showing, the opposing captain should hand it back and request that it is completed – either with further player names, or with leg forfeiture. If a player is not present at the venue at the time their game is due to be played, then that game is forfeited.
Doubles line-ups do not have to be entered until all singles legs are completed. Teams are not allowed to change their line-ups after they have passed the score card on. In frame 1 the “away team” breaks and the “home team” provides a referee. This then alternates for each frame for the remainder of the match.
It is deemed unsporting conduct by the Committee to hand back a score card which has an incomplete team line-up even if a player is running late. Teams must commit to their line-up of 6 singles legs before the match commences.
The Black Swan B team have also submitted resignation from Division 2 with immediate effect. The Committee would like to thank the team for their participation in the league during this season. Under League Rules their results from Weeks 1 – 14 stand, whilst all results from week 15 onwards have been awarded to their opposing teams as 8-0 victories.

Congratulations to Dunstable Snooker Club on clinching the inaugural Dunstable League Championship with four matches to spare. The race is still on for the runners-up spot in the Dunstable League, trophies and a Champions League place are up for grabs.
Well done to the L & D Social Club B team, their 5-3 victory on Monday evening was enough to secure promotion to the Premier League for next season, joining the Butchers Arms A team. The race is still on for the League Championship and also the Premier League play-off place. Also well done to the Ashcroft Arms B team, who this evening guaranteed themselves promotion to Division 1, joining the Barrels.

TAPS Finals & Presentation Night at the L & D Hospital Social Club. Matches will start from 3pm with the final presentation scheduled for 10pm. If you or your team is involved in a Cup Final then they will be required to attend both their match and the presentation without fail.
